Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) is a proactive approach to workplace safety that focuses on identifying safe behaviors, reinforcing positive actions, and improving the way work is performed every day. Rather than reacting only after incidents occur, BBS encourages employees and leaders to recognize hazards, communicate openly, and actively participate in creating a safer work environment. Effective BBS programs emphasize observation, feedback, accountability, leadership involvement, and continuous improvement to strengthen overall safety culture.
