Benchmark Electrical Solutions is seeking an experienced, licensed Journeyman Electrician to join their team. Strong emphasis on commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate has solid NEC code knowledge, can read blueprints and technical drawings, and is committed to safety and craftsmanship. Traveling to various states for commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems and components including control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, and switches
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using wiring diagrams and technical schematics
- Replace fuses and breakers in both high- and low-voltage circuits
- Repair and maintain motors and generators
- Connect and disconnect electrically powered machinery and equipment
- Mentor apprentices by promoting quality workmanship and safety practices
- Work effectively in all weather conditions and environments
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License — State Issued (Required)
- Technical or trade school degree preferred
- Strong work ethic and safety-first mindset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to remote job sites
- Dependable, punctual, and professional at all times
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
- Lift and carry up to 60 lbs
- Apply pushing or pulling force over 100 lbs
- Work in high or confined spaces
- Perform duties in all outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.)
- Wear employer-provided PPE
- Occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required
